This first song is the current single from Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis, under his new collaboration project The Yaw. This song, Under the Strike is part of a five-track EP he made with the late afrobeat drummer Tony Allen. The lyrics were inspired by the Paris refuse strikes and features an amazing blend of afrobeat, saxophones and indie stabbing guitars.
To pair with this I've chosen Oh Silly George by Skinny Polembe. This has got such a cool beat to it too and some great electronica. I think the imagery in these two videos go really well together.
