This first song, I inside the old I dying by PJ Harvey, came out a couple months ago. I made a note to add it to the site when I first heard it but other songs jumped the queue and it got left behind. It's a real gem of a song though so I'm glad to be adding it to the site now at last. It somehow manages to sound both like a classic PJ Harvey song and yet something completely new at the same time. The video is pretty powerful too.
To pair with this I've chosen July Flame by Laura Veirs, from her 2010 album of the same name. It's another song that finds its way into your head after just a couple of listens.
